    Default Looking for Advise

What's up fellow fisherpeople! Thinking about taking a roadtrip from Missouri to the great state of Arkansas to find me some crappie! I fish from a kayak so my coverage is limited. I was planning on camping at Shoal Bay Corp. of Engineers campground and fish from Shoal Bay to the straight that leads to the Arkansas river. I was also going to spend a day fishing on Conway Lake. I have found plenty of literature on Conway Lake, but I was wondering if anyone had any opinions about the Shoal Bay area?? Am I wasting my time? BTW, I plan on making the trip within a couple of weeks.
Also, I travel light...I prefer to pitch a tent at a campground. Any suggestions for campsites on Conway lake? Thanks in advance for any insight!!

I fished shoal bay a few times last fall. Caught some real nice slabs and some monster red ears. I think it would be a good place to use a kayak. Paddle around the bluffs along the sides of the coves and work the blown down timber and rock piles. They liked blue and white jigs while I was there.

They are a bream(sunfish) that have a red spot on their ear flap. Lots of fun to catch and really good eating. Usually people catch them on crickets but the big ones will bite crappie jigs or minnows.
