pics?
Probably no one has ever done this themselves, but I did it. Left my trolling motor down and got planed out before I realized it. Its a motorguide and the force of the water shoved it back against the bow of the boat. Didn't bend the shaft but somehow changed the angle of the shaft and now it is hard to load and is not straight up and down. Have any of you ever experienced this yourselves? Thanks for any help you can give.
pics?
The fix depends on the type of mount. A pic would really help.
I'd rather be fishing.
I agree, if it didn't bend the shaft then it moved the position of the mount. Probably had some adjustments that moved. Pictures of the side of the mount with motor in the down position should help someone see the problem.

ok, thanks ya'll. I took it apart and repositioned it. It is called a clutch bracket designed to give rather than break or bend the shaft. You have to pull the bolt out, reposition the bracket and put it back together. Whew! I was able to read a little about it on google.
Glad it was a easy fix
