Purdy fish! The funny thing is that some bird hunters with pull got the season started a week earlier and it warmed up even earlier this year and it was still hard to find some good action. What people don't understand is that the season is set late so that not as many are killed and the pop has a better chance to rebound. I hope that one of these years it will be good for my son.

Sure would be nice to work gobbling turkeys. Mabe split season or bag limit. 1 turkey in april 1 turkey in may. Still 2 for the year . Seems like they were done by the time we started hunting.

Yep. Maybe one year the pop will rebound enough that we will get to hunt prime time again.

Might help if you fellows would stop trapping them and giving them away.

It was a tough season. I would like to see more promotion of predator control. Things would rebound much faster with less predation on nests and nesting hens.

Thus isn't my area of expertise, but I believe this practice was stopped years ago.

For sure. Some of my hunting areas in NW Arkansas have been over run by hogs and we don't see as much turkey sign as we used to.
