Went to C. Creek today, most of the morning was just myself and Willie crappie fishing and a couple of bass fishermen. I guess it being slow the last couple of weeks kept everyone away. I caught 10 crappie today with 8 keepers, Willie had 14 or 15 and a 4 1/2 lb bass that he caught on a jig pole. Just before I left a couple of guys got there and were bream fishing with worms and talking about the bait stealers taking their bait. One of them put on a jig and it hardly got in the water and a crappie got it. A bass fisherman went over and weighed it and it weighed 3 lb. 3 oz. I've been trying all fall for one over 3, I guess I'm trying to hard.
My catch for today.
A couple of the better ones.

Nice catch LA. Looks like I "MAY" get to go this Thrusday and Friday. May try CC one day the Monticello the next. I have no idea where to fish on Monticello, so any pointers would be appreciated.
Bobberwatcher, you'll probably be putting in at the Hungerrun ramp off of Hwy 35. Just go out from the ramp and out aways from the levee. That is all 40- 50 ft. water. You'll see where all the boats are. The white bass are really thick this year, you'll probably get a lot of action from them. Good luck on the crappie. Give us a report on L.M. and C.C.Originally Posted by bobberwatcher

Lookin' good Jerry. How's the jig and cork technique working for you? I know it's tough for you to put down that ultralight.
