I have been reading on here a lot about catching 2 at a time when you are fishing, Is this under a slip bobber to find the corect depth or is this just a cast and retrive,,I'm just trying to understand exactly what that means...How is it rigged?

2 at a time? Dang I have enought trouble with 1 at a time.. LOL. The only way I have seen it done is tightlining or under a slipcork.
Folks that rig two jigs on the same line call it a "double" when they catch two fish at the same time on the same line - one on each jig.
We usually have at least 4 and sometimes 6 poles out with minnows under slip floats and sometimes have one or more people vertical jigging as well.
When we talk about "doubles" or "triples" we mean two or three fish being caught at the same time on different poles. It's probably even more challenging than catching two on the same line when they are coming in at different places down the side of the boat, especially if they are all "net fish".
Hey TJ, to expand a little bit on Jerry's explanation of the multiple jigs on one line...You can tie anywhere from two to four jigs onto one pole. They (Louisiana guys) recommend using at least 8lb test line because of so many knots. They use simple dropper loops (about 6" or so apart) with no additional weight except for the 4 jigs. As a variation of this, you can drop shot with multiple jigs as well.
Most of these rigs are used for slo-trolling/spiderriggin'. You want to troll with these rigs in open areas, because you don't want to get hung-up a lot with them (less of a problem with the drop-shot method). During times that the crappie are schooled up, you can definately catch 2 at one time, on the same pole.

...For a better explanation, take a look at this 20min video made by Slab Hunter from the LA board. It is an outstanding video and shows how to tie the 4-jig rig. Hope this helps you out some. CEB -
Thanks, for the help...
