For those interested, this from Game and Fish:
LakeConway drawdown extended through Jan. 1
MAYFLOWER - The drawdown of LakeConway that was scheduled to end Dec. 15 has been extended until Jan. 1, 2007.
The lake has been drawn down five feet since July 15 for maintenance purposes, allowing landowners around the lake and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission to make repairs and shoreline improvements.
Recent rainfall has raised the lake level by almost two feet, forcing a two-week extension of the drawdown so shoreline projects may be completed.
During the drawdown, privately owned piers and boathouses were permitted, repaired and removed in compliance with AGFC regulations. Many property owners took advantage of the drawdown by removing sediments around their docks, constructing fish attractors and repairing eroded shorelines. Since mid-July, the AGFC Licensing Division has issued more than 500 permits for previously non-permitted structures on the lake.
AGFC used the drawdown to make repairs to boat ramps and improve fishing piers. The AGFC also repaired the lake’s dam gates and built a new boat ramp at the dam site.
Additional work is scheduled for the dam in the near future, including the replacement of two pipes under the earthen portion of the dam. The work will require the closure of Dam Road for several days.
More information is available from the AGFC’s Mayflower Fisheries Office at (501) 470-3309, ext. 212.
Yep, that's sounds about right. The way that I see it is...if you can't get your stuff together in all of that time, what good is a couple of extra weeks?
I really want to get to know Conway this coming year. I know that there is some quality fishin' out there that I'm missing out on. With the lake filling back up starting Jan. 1, what do y'all think it's going to look like come spring?
Got my dock rebuilt finally, new joists and decking
Stuffed cedar under it and the #&%@ beavers ate it all in 3 days
AG&F is still working on the dam, and a few more good freezes on the exposed lily pad roots will be good
Good looking dock, Lazyj. That will be real nice when the lake refills.
A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

Is that a launching ramp in your back yard?
You would have thought they'd have finished that by now! The damn that is. But do agree with you on the lilly pads, do you have a problem with the monkey grass over on that side of the lake?
Gooch, that concrete you see is my attempt at a seawall, no launch. Adams public launch is in the background there, bout a 1/4 mile drive around the cove.
I fished up there today. Witnessed two guys in a 14' jon and a huge chainsaw cutting a boat trail between #1 trail and Canterbury cove, at least a 1/4 mile run. They went at it for at 6 hours and were still going when I left. Too frightening to watch.
There is a house on two lots with a boat house and dock for sale next to my place. Anybody here looking for a fishing cabin you could get this place for a steal right now I believe. Guy from Dallas bought in May, spent two holiday weekends there, and then he got transfered to California. Place is listed for $89k but I bet it could be had for much less, vacant for 6 months now, fully furnished, cute place.

Talk about a cool "Crappie Camp"
Well they are fixing the dam road and have it blocked so there goes my favorite fishing spot. They won't even let you walk down there. Tried the 89 Bridge today and got skunked and lost about 10 jigs. I guess imma have to try lake Atkins or something from now on eh.
