Thanks Dwayne, some nice pictures, that's a really pretty lake. The bite wasn't real good for me today, maybe it will be good by the Larto trip.
A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.
Jerry
Thanks for the pictures. I cant wait to get down there.
Hey Dwyane, it looks like y'all had a good time, and that's all that counts. Thanks for the pics. In that first pic the lake looks much more open than I imagined. I also really like the looks of the bayous. Is it mostly a clean bottom in the main body of the lake and the bayous?
Only three and a half weeks left til the gathering!!!
Ceb, I don't think Dwyane saw your question, its odd for him not to reply to it, he must have missed it.
At Larto, the main lake is 99 percent clean bottom, I only saw one snag when we went back in November. And it seems like I remember Randy giving someone a hard time for hanging up in Larto when there aren't any hangups....lol...
For those that don't read the La. board, this is Randy's latest post on Larto. Seems like they slowed with the weather, but they are still there.

You can't fish with a hung line!
Hey Johnny, thanks for the update. I can't wait to get down there next month. I don't get to fish new places very often (in fact, I've never wet a line outside of AR), so it tickles the fire out of me to come down there for some crappie fishing and fellowship.
That's kindof what I was thinking about Larto. I grew up fishing Mississippi river oxbows in east AR, so I'm not scared of the shallow water. In fact, that's how my dad, grandfather, and I always fished for crappie.
Hey Ceb, sorry about not getting back to you sooner. jlaughlin was right I didn't see the post. If you have any other questions PM me b/c I check them before I check any thing else.
But Johnny (jlaughlin73) is right, the bottom of the lake and also the bayous are 99% clean. I have never fished an area like this! I always bring extra tackle b/c of the hangups but the only extra tackle you need here is extra tubes b/c of the fish tearing them up!Man you got to love that!:D
What Johnny didn't mention is that the one person he saw that got hung up in the lake was me!! You can't bet if there is 1 hangup in the entire lake and bayous, I will find it!![]()
Me and my son and Deacon from the louisiana board are heading up there tomorrow (friday) to do some more fishing and get yall some more pictures except this time we are going to follow the MASTER- Slab Hunter around so hopefully we will have more fish pictures to show yall!
The get together is getting closer!! Can't wait to meet you guys! And make sure Gooch brings his LSU gear!!!!:D

Slab Hunter, Deacon, Shadow and his son are over @ Larto again, not sure how long they will be there. They are still catching them. Here's the thread.

Lookin' good, Dwyane. I'm glad that you got them pegged down now at Larto. The anticipation is still building...
