    Default Beaver Lake Report

The lake is near normal pool for the first time in nearly two years!
The crappie bite has slowed though with just enough being caught for supper each time out!
Minnows have been working best fished around docks and brush piles near creek chanels down 10' to 18' in 25' of water or more.
I'm going to start fishing Swepco more often now winter has officialy arived! I'll fish Beaver at least once a week and consintrate more on sinking new piles.
    Good Fishing to all!

Is Swepco the little lake thats somewhere between Eureka Springs and Rogers? I am heading up there for New Years Eve weekend at the Cresent Hotel and had toyed with the idea of bringing my boat and fishing the day before the partying started. I have seen picutres of that lake and have heard the fishing is great in the winter up there. I may not be able to push my luck on the deal as I am now booked for the Saline/Larto trip to Louisiana a few weeks after my trip to Eureka but I sure like the idea of mixing in a few slabs.

Your thinking of Lake Leatherwood. It is a good lake. It's only 85 acres. I recomend fishing by the dam at the north end of the lake. Here is a link:
