I have been wanting to take a whack at lake Nirod ever since I have moved to Arkansas. Do you or Slabbandit have a report?
You made a suggestion on where one should put in a while back. But, I don't recall where that was.

Hey there DP, NIMROD has been hunting with his son lately and probably getting ready to hunt this weekend. I only have been out a couple of short trips lately. Too windy once and couldn't get on fish the last time.

The best that I have heard of lately was a few people jigging 8 to 10 feet deep along the river channel up above the lake. These people had 10, some small and 1 about 1 1/4. Red/Chart. jigs.

Not many people fishing right now that I can tell and the lake was down to the winter level (343) before all this rain. Carden Point is a good place to put in during the winter months and they built some new ramps at Anderson Branch that I think people are using now.

I probably won't fish for a while now,that it is deer season,but if I hear of anyone doing any good I'll post it.

I would'nt try Nimrod right now. They were slow and then this rain hit . The lake is rising and river will most likely muddy up.Then being flood control lake will drop it out. Last time out befor the rain I caught a few nices ones. When the lake level is 342 watch for stumps in the main lake. Stay in the marked river channel on the lake. Try up river later next month. Will try to post reports.:D

Up river must have had a lot of rain. They sure were letting alot flow down the Arkansas yesterday. I heard it is suposed to slow down today though.
