Hey guys haven't been on here in a while need some info please!!!
does anybody know how deep the lake is and how many boat ramps there is etc. is there a bait shop close? Is the lake clear or muddy? would like to go saturday. Any info is greatly welcomed
mortimer knows.
I'd also like to hear about Old Town. Where are the camping sites there, and do they have water/electric?
If you camp at Old Town, you better bring a large and heavy safe to store your gear in while you are out fishing. Or take stuff you don't mind having stolen.
three launch sites but only one concrete ramp about half way down. bait shop is east of the intersection coming from walnut corner. Lake averages about 6 feet deep with 10 foot water being a deep hole. good color but a wind muddies it up quickly. If you like catfish set out about 30 yo-yos baited with worms oin the south side around the cypress trees and get ready for some catfish cleaning. Watch out for mr green jeans 'cause they are so bored they screw with you just to have something to do. Stay legal.10 whiskerfish/person. no monsters but good eaters.

Gomer,
That was a really good post.Great information.![]()
thanks for info gomer. went today really low only around 2 to 3 feet deep found a couple of spots that was 5 foot. caught no crappie and only 2 bream did end up with 14 catfish couple of them went 5lb rest around 1.5lb. thanks again for info and all catfish were caught on crickets.
they let area farmers pump it dry in summer. The catfish out of there are better eating than midway or below the dam on the arkansas. You caught 14 on crickets. 30 yo-yos and worms will fill the boat.
