Thread: Paradise

I heard a rumor that they were going to put a culvert in the ditch going into Paradise to restrict people getting in there. Anyone else heard this?

First I have heard of this. guess I will just have to get a big running start!

Talked to a Island 82 member and he said they were going to put a low water dam where the channel enters into the lake. He said it would not stop people from fishing in Paradise. The dam will stop the water from draining the lake down to a mudhole during the lower river stages. When the lake level gets to the point where the dam will be no one can get up the channel anyway. He also said that members of the Woodstock Island Hunting Club were trying to make it illegal to fish Woodstock unless you were a member of Woodstock Hunting Club, don't know how they are going to do that but anything is possible.

Thanks for the info. I had just heard it from someone as a rumor so I did not know how much truth there was to it.

The gentleman that I spoke with owns a auto part store here in Hamburg and he is a stand up guy so I believe what he is telling me is the truth.

Thats totally false. No one has ever talked about trying to make camp lake private. The guy you talked to is a member of Ashbrook. He doesn't know what he's talking about

I didn't know which camp he was in but I knew it was on Paradise. Bill your a guest at woodstock and your dad is in woodstock so tell us what is going on. He's not the only one that has told me about that lake going private.

hey guys, how do ya catch them slabs in paradise lake this time of year. I figured it might get good after the river starts falling in a week or two. What other areas around paradise on or off the river is good for slabin this time of year? New to the area and would like some info on where to fish.
