It was 53 to 53 yesterday on Nimrod but 55 to 57 when I left about 3.00 pm.
I caught a good mess over structure in the river on jigs. I used 2 poles to try some samples of hand tied jigs verses my favorite 1/8 oz 2'' umbrella tubes. Tim at TNT Tackle sent me some samples of his jigs to try. His Hand tied jigs caught about the sames as my tubes this time. The water was muddy , it may change on clear water. He sure makes some pretty jigs.
The water temps are rising and if the weather holds the bite should really pick up. I saw lots and lots of suspended fish in the river close to the surface in the river on my depthfinder. There was a local catching them trolling jigs, but only keeping about 10%. Said he also caught a good mess. :D
