Thread: White Bass run is on at Maumelle!

Just letting everyone know! Caught my limit today, but Crappie is still number 1! :D

They are fun to catch, but low on my list for eating. Been seeing several boats as I passed the lake this week and figured it was time.

Yea they will sure stretch your string.

If you remove the bloodline when you clean them they eat real good! Man, they are fun to catch!

I agree. Although white bass are never going to be as good as crappie, I think they're pretty decent eating if you filet them and cut out that red strip on the side. Leave the fish whole or leave the strip in, and that is a different propostion. They are fun to catch.

cut out the red meat and grill them with a little bbq rub, or cavenders, or Tony's seasoning and they are delecious.
