Thread: Conway 11-10

Made my first trip to Lake Conway today. Meet up with CrappiePro about 6:30 at Dan's. We went up Gold Creek and started vertical jiging and caught fish right off the bat. The jig bite slowed down around 10 so we moved into the Pool and picked up several more before we took a break for lunch. We had 22 when we came out for lunch about 1:30. No monsters but all decent fish. Took about an hour break for luch and got after them again.The afternoon bite did not get started until right before dark. We caught several fish but only 4 were keepers with 3 of them being really good fish. All in all a good day on the water. Russ is definately the man to go with on Conway. I won't say how many each of us caught but he beat me pretty bad. I sure want to go back and spider rig there sometime.

Wayne it was a fun day on the water, I know I told ya that dark bite would be on. But it did'nt pan out like i hoped. Here is a pic of a mess I caught just yesterday evening and i had a similar catch the evening before. Seemed like they switched up on us and bit in the morning this trip, But at least we got a few nice kicker fish to go with the mess in the evening. Those Jigs you tied me are SPOT ON and Im going to do my best to field test them here on Lake Conway an do a post on em if you don't mind. Watching you casting and reeling in a jig and bobber and nailing a nice slab at dark, was a thing of beauty. Until our next trip don't be too hard on them Greers Crappie and save me a few.
