    Default Nice Weather

Went back up to Gold Creek today, and met CrappiePro under the the I-40 bridge. We both pulled up a few fish and had a nice conversation of Crappie outings from the past, good places to fish, and shared some good old Crappie tricks and techniques. Ended up keeping only 10 nice fish...but the weather was Nice!

By far the Biggest event of the day had to be this Ole boy flip head first right outta the front of his flatbottom into Gold Creek between the railroad and highway 65 bridges...he went all the way under as his partner just kinda looked at him....and didn't say nothin. I was about 50 yards away...I started to say something...but wait...He pulled himself into the front and kinda wallered back in the boat and then just kinda sat there a minute. Yeck...he didn't have his shirt on either...It was almost like he mean't to do that....I just had to ease on by and say Something....so I sputtered out ...kinda gets your Blood pumpin....don't it??...with a grin... He said your bet your a$$ !! I told him the water was only 58...and he muttered that it felt every bit of 58 degrees.....

well....it was good to meet and talk to ya CP...seeing we both know these waters pretty good, and Conway being your home waters...I'm sure we shall meet again....God Bless!!

I must have missed that fun. I was out there today and I should have just stayed homed. I did catch a couple of fish, but the fishing was slow for everyone I spoke with.

I did miss the floor show at the bridge. I must have been in the pool or perhaps fishing the flats when that happened. LOL.

I loaded up the boat late this morning and kept feeling like I had forgotten something. Pulled all the way to the creek, bought minnows and paid the launch fee when I realized I had left home without my rods. Not a single fishing rod. I had tackle, and line, but no pole or rod. Dan fixed me up with a nice 10' BnM Black Widow pole and it did the job. I prefer more rods out, but one is better than none.
Quit complaining about the color, just pull up your skirt and fish! -- snagged
