I've been using them for many years now. I get 'em now for $5.95 per 100 count (+ shipping) on the Midsouth website. It's my hollow tube of preference. I have found that if the crappie are taking a jig, there is a Midsouth "super jig" color they'll hit!

You know LF your right, they have a color selection thats about as good as it gets as far as colors. If there is a certain color you need they probly got it, to include the glow colors.

Dedawg I agree that you should let the fish tell you what they want and use it. But don't you have lures you have confidence in?. Baits you try first when on strange waters or the lake favorites or local expert's advice isn't working. We got to start somewhere, to find out what they want. And for me you can bet a Mid-South tube will be one of the first things I try to find out what they want.

Sorry guys..........I'm a little behind on posting. Great topic. MidSouth jigs are owned by Phyllis and Doyle Hudson, which are two great people. Not only are they the owners of the company, but they are die hard crappie fisherman as well. Mrs. Hudson can probably out fish most on any given day on any given lake. Doyle is world class himself and I had the honor of fishing with him for the first time at the Classic. And I will tell you, this man has a world of knowledge on catching crappie. He knows lake color, temperature, where the fish are, etc. as good as anyone I ever fished with.
The jigs that I passed to CP are 2 1/2" and are SUPER when it comes to catching the bigger slabs. We've all heard that bigger baits catch bigger fish, and this jig proves it! I am sponsored by Midsouth but I can guarantee you, if I didn't believe in their product I wouldn't be. I have used their baits for years now and they are by far the best on the market for color selection and reliability. They have first class service as well.
Thanks CP for the post and when I get some more of the larger skirts, I'll do some more sharing!

By the way, Mr. Doyle is also working on what he refers to as a "pencil Tail". Most of us would almost call this a stinger tail, but there is a BIG difference in his model. The tail is much larger and more flexible than a typical stinger and offers alot more action.

If you call Mr. or Mrs. Hudson be sure to ask about this as well. They are really great people and I think the world of them.

Did I fail to mention, the Bass Masters Crappie Classic was won this year on the orange/Chart. skirt by Midsouth?

They can be reached at 1-870-935-4914.
