Thread: Crappie Camp Gold Creek Oct 24, 2009

Had a wonderful day on the water today folks! Arrived at DANO's place around 7:30am and met with the infamous CrappiePro. He gave a many pointers and we talked until my boat was ready.

The "POOL" was the place to be, and I think everyone in Central Arkansas knew it! Boat count was up to 20 at one point and yes I saw many guys pulling them in hand-over-fist - looks like slip-bobbers and a minnow rig for the most part.

I jig-fished and caught a total of 5 keepers, but end up giving them away - the other 20 or so were 8 inches or less and I threw them back.

As boats left with close to their limits, more boats showed up for continued fishing action - it was like a crappie-tail-gate party out there at DANO's place.

It was something great yesterday morning. After 9:30, the small ones took over, Had fourty, with about 14 smaller ones. Not complainging. It was interesting with all the boats but still had a good day.

I missed everyone except CrappiePro. I was in a sticksteer Tracker with 4 poles out. I have Crappie.Com on my motor. Say hello next time.
