Default Too much time on my hands

Setting here waiting on my blood to thicken, and swelling to go down, I usually stay on phone too much with Crappie buddies, but got a nice surprise last night. Wife went to mailbox and this about choked me. I had several cards from .com members. I started thinking about how long and some times we had run across each other. I joined after setting back a while, and deciding I never would be any good at it. Other than ponds and creeks when I was a kid I had to work. Joined, and first thing was a build at Nimrod. I met some fine people there that knew how to work. Think I hauled 80 pallet's down and they knew what to do with them.( You know where this is going? I have friends on here that are closer than some family). Got into the .com camp get-together, helping Nimrod couple of times, Meatgetter down at Pecan Grove, and Russ and Co. at Russellville 2 yrs. I don't know how everyone feels, but when I think about this, it makes me wonder why we just can't get together and visit some evening. Our trouble on each place was to out-do the last one. Too much pressure and work on the pro's. Think about it. We do not need free gifts to enjoy each other's company.Let's not forget Bill Bob in here.

I'm hearing you buddy. Good to talk to you on the phone over the weekend. I was wondering how things ended up. I've had you on my mind all week. It is true that some of these crappie.com buddies are closer than family. Really good to see your post today.

I agree with you. Just a fun weekend some where and maybe cook some fish. Don't think most need all the extra.

A fun weekend of fish catching and cooking, lets do it. I agree with others, no need for prizes, Just fellowship fishing and eating.

I agree with yall. I had a great time at the shin dig at the Big D and Lake Conway. Russ and crew did a great job and went all out. Chris and crew put on a really good low key camp that was still a lot of fun. I wouldn't mind a less extravagant slab fest. We would still have a good time. There are several new members that havent had the chance to experience a camp. If the timing is right, you can count Jacob and I in on the fun!

I'm in for that. Somebody set a date for somewhere and Sharon and I will be there if at all possible. I'll fish, cook, bring stuff, or whatever is needed. I'll even throw in some fishing stories upon request, some of them may even be true.
