    Default Free tackle

I have been sorting thru my fishing stuff and have a pile of tackle that I will never use. Does anyone know of someone or group that could use this equipment. Some is still in wrappers. Rods, reels, mono, hooks, etc.

I am sure some folks in Arkansas could use this for a good cause. I am a member of the SC Wildlife Chapter of the National Wildlife Federation. We have a club house with two small ponds. We have built handicap ramps and fishing piers to accommodate our Wounder Warriors and kids from several shelters around the South Carolina Midlands. We bring the veterans and the kids(not at the same time) out for a day of fishing and we prepare them a meal of hamburgers and hot dogs and the ladies usually prepare several cakes for desert. We are dependent on fund raising and donations from our members, community and businesses to survive. Any tackle you might care to donate will either be used for the kids or veterans to fish with or will be sold at one of our two fundraiser auctions to help offset our expenses to maintain the facility.
If you have any left over and would like to donate to us, PM me for mailing information.

    Many thanks.

We have a raffle at our annual crappie.com Toledo Bend gathering to benefit the Sabine Counsel of Aging (a local cause). The funds generated are very much appreciated, and those folks have sent us pictures of what they do with our proceeds (lights for pool tables, sewing machines for the ladies, etc.). All items, whether new or used, is up in the raffle to those that attend our event. All of our items have always been raffled off. We decided not to do door prizes a couple of years ago because we wanted to do this.

It doesn't matter the donation to the raffle - old, new, non-fishing, etc. We do it because we want to. Let me know. Thanks.

There was a guy recently who has a son in a men's rehab facility in central Arkansas somewhere who was trying to get fishing equipment donated so that the men there could fish some ponds that they have on the premises. I just can't remember right now who it was. You might do a search on the site and find that information. I'm sure they could use it.
