    Default Pecans are a fallin!

Dad and I picked up enough for a pie or two after deer hunting this morning. That's a 5 gallon bucket there, nearly full. Got some serious crackin and pickin to do.

Did you do that by hand or with one of those round cages that you roll on the ground over the nuts and it picks them up?

Picked up most of mine by hand and Dad used a "picker upper thing" he got at Atwoods a couple of years ago. It's not round; it's about 3 ft long, silver metal with a black trigger handle and two little black suction cups on the end. He can't stoop over much anymore. We cracked them all today. He's probably picking some out right now. GTT

Here is the thing I was talking about. I hear they work good. You just roll the cage over the nuts.

I've got one of those in my work truck. I use it to pick up people's trash that they leave at our access areas.

Cool. How do you get them out once it's full of nuts? GTT

I'm not sure. I've only seen them rolled around on the ground, never emptied.
