Default Which Fishfinder?

I'm looking to buy my first fishfinder and have found a couple that look pretty good.

Has anyone tried the Garmin 400C? I found it for $286 and it looks like a good unit.... any comments?

Or should I look at the HB 565?

Can I get your opinions?

I like the Eagle units. There're easy to use, easy to read, inexpensive and do a good job. I have eagle units on the dash and bow of my boat.
