slow trolling is the way for me...if the bite is on you can fill up a cooler in a hurry and if it's slow, it's still a relaxing way to fish

I have two young boys so they have to stay entertained doing something when we are fishing, trolling is a great technique on the lakes I fish but we do really well casting and retreiving. Actually my favorite techinque is to flip a 1/32 oz jig just past visible cover and let the jig pendulum (I don't know how to spell this) swing slowly through the cover. With hi-vis braid line you can see all the subtle bites.

i like to shoot docks, i didn't see that in the choices so i guess it would fall under cast and retrive.
really i'll do just about anything to catch a crappie!

Pullin crank baits! Cover a lot of water and fish.
