    Default Rod actions

Can someone explain the difference in rod actions?Difference between mod fast,fast,x-fast?And which techniques for which actions?I think Ive got a good understanding of it but thought it would be interesting to hear others input and make for a good thread.

    Default Rod actions

X-Fast: Upper 20% flexes Blank Action
    Fast: Upper 30% flexes
    Med-fast: Upper 35% flexes
    Mod-fast Upper 40% flexes
    Moderate: Middle flex point
Slow: Flex progressive from tip to butt.

    Blank Power
    UL,L,ML,M,MH,H,XH,XXH.
Power ratings denoted on the last 2 #'s of the rod model on a scale of "0" being lightest to "9" the heaviest.
"power" is how much pressure it takes to deflect a rod, the higher the number the stiffer the rod. *Note* Some manufactures ratings vary, and a 3 power magbass rod is different than a 3 power saltwater rod. So they are inclusive to their series.
On most long crappie rods Moderate action / Lt. power is the standard.
