shipahoy, they look good. If you take a handigrinder and cut out part of one side of needle's eye that's closes to point you can hook the hair and pull through the grub much easier and faster. Hope I am not imposing on your great idea.

I'm glad to see that somebody else is having fun making jelly jigs you could do so many different things with plastic bodies to make up your own jelly jig baits you did a fantastic job I'm sure that they will catch plenty of fish .

And it did! Between buying and selling calves I got a chance to go try these out and yes they will catch fish.

Would like to add to this trend that you can use any plastic bait body to make jelly jigs so if you have a bunch of plastic baits laying around that you are no longer using and of course these may have tales on them you can pull them off in thread in feathers or any material that you would like also keep in mind that we do bodies .

Ok, I know this is an older thread, but I have a question and couldn't seem to find it in the threads. When making these using marabou for the tails, which marabou is best, the strung, loose feathers, or blood quills? I am interested in trying my and at these, nd d not want to get the wrong materials to start with. Thank you very much for any help. Eric
