St Jude Green Carp Tournament

did not happen......called off due to weather......

will they try tomorrow or just cancel til next year....

Back when I was tournament fishing they would play it again today

As GM said, actual tourney was canceled due to strong squall line coming right down Sardis from the E. right before daylight. According to folks who were there, ramps at N. and S. side of dam were impossible due to wind/waves.

The tournament folks drew for all published prizes from total entry list. They gave 1st-50th, big fish pot, no fish pot, the Ranger boat and motor, (2) john boats and motors, etc., based on blind draw. More like the lottery than fishing!

yeah that has to be no fun. on the other hand one of my buddies said he won the big bass which was 4500

some not climatic if you do not have to catch fish for the prizes??

seems I might have tried to move the tournament to the following weekend or something...

must have to pay for a certain date...otherwise, just lose the money anyway...

I was entered into this tournament and was dissappointed when it was called. But I understand why as well. In my personal opinion, i think they could have bumped it weigh ins back and launched around 7 to 8. while we were there during the drawing, the lake looked good, but that is just my opinion. Was looking forward to fishing that day. It is still nice to have a good turnout for a good cause. Would have been even better if it were my name that was drawn for the boat.
