Reckon how long one of these patio umbrellas would last if mounted just behind the front deck maybe in some conduit straps or piece of pipe mounted on the back side of the front deck? I'm tired of fishing in the rain.

It would last about as long as it took for one good thunder storm to come by. Then you'd think MARY POPPINS was flyin by, LOLOLOL

What about one of these 2 layed jobs that let the wind pass thru but keeps the rain out?

If anybody has a set-up that works, please chime in! I've been wondering the exact same thing for this summer.

I've got a golf umbrella on one of those chair back mounts. Works great to keep the sun off mid-day, but when the sun is lower in the sky it won't adjust enough to block it out. In the rain, it's just good to keep your upper body dry. Rain rolls off the umbrella and soaks my thighs. Thinking about trying to find a bigger one, like you see on tractors.

I was thinking more for summer to help with the sun some. The rain doesn't really matter to me!
