    Default E-15 next?

    From BoatUS.com: Government Affairs

Boaters Need To Comment Before May 21st

    May 7th, 2009

Strong pro-ethanol advocates are pushing the Obama Administration and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to increase ethanol levels in gasoline to 15% (E15). As you may have read in BoatUS Magazine, ethanol at the currently allowed 10% (E10) level has been shown to cause significant problems for some marine engines and boat fuel systems.

before you know it they will try to burn straight ethenol to completely stop the use of fosil fuel. Unless the population stands up and makes the govt pay attention to us they will continue to do what they want.

They are gonna continue to do what they want anyway Sat.....IMO

I understand they are trying to use less oil, but isint the ethenol production more costly than turning oil into gas? I may be wrong...

You are soooo wrong Pstone. Just not about that.

I have politcal commentary filled with wit, humor and amazing insight all while delivering body blows to a certain political party. However, in an amazing feat of restraint, uncommon to my personality, I'll refrain from posting it here. At least until I get my jigs.

It actually costs more than a dollar to produce a dollar of ethanol. It also releases a lot of co2 in the process, which will get them taxed more. Many ethanol plants are being shut down or will never make it to production due to the negative cost. The only way it is profitable is subsidies.

    Default Corn

I have read that if you took ALL the corn grown in the US and converted it to Ethanol you would only cover about 10% of our current use. They need to drop it and move on.

I say spend a lot of money building particle colliders. Anit- matter puts out more pure energy than anything else and is clean. 1 nanogram of antimatter is equivalent to 5 kilotons of TNT. It very unstable and if they can figure a safe way to harness it there is your answer to all energy problems.

It's the "unstable" part that is the problem.

This is typical Obama cr*p. I saw him on the news the other day saying that we all must live within our means and not spend more than we make (reference credit cards), but he wrote a 800,000,000,000.00 dollar bailout check. We had to borrow money from foreign countries to cover the check. He spews political rhetoric from both sides of his square head.

Thats all, this runs my pressure up too high.
