Folks I can fell the wheather starting to help us crappie fisherman. Saturday was very nice until around noon and mother nature reminded me summer was still here. I started long lining first thing and the fish told me to slow down and let them look at my baits a little more, so I did. I changed my rod racks and began titelining. The fish where on the edge of the creek channels, mainly where the creeks run in front of the major pockets. Most of my fish come out of 18 to 24 feet of water. Of course I was using my 12ft WonderPoles with 6lb. Supreme Line. The baits I choose because of the wonderfull overcast was the Southern Pro Mimmow Tube and a homemade hair jig. The fishing is slow and the fish have not started putting that winter weight on yet, but they can still be caught with the right tackle. Don't forget about our club meeting Wednesday night.
