I use pipe insulators at the tip 6', and velcro strips to hold them together. I then just tie them off to the boat. I also store them this way. works good.

Here's what I came up with to store my jigpoles and spinning rods when going from one spot to another. Works great. I could have put them a little closer together and they still would have worked fine.

    Default Try Driftmaster Rod Resters

As a fishing guide I use the Driftmaster Rod Resters on each of my rod holders. They allow you to stand your rods straight up with no more holes in your boat. Check them out here Driftmaster Rod Holders

I thought you meant hauling the boat from place to place. I have two four-tube rod holders that I stick my rods in when motoring from place to place.

Default Pro-Caddy Rod Holder By McCoy

Me and My father are the designers and makers of this Rod Holder. It's strong and holds your rods great during transport on the water. There's no mess to straighten out when you get to your spot. It holds 8 poles of any length and comes in the color you prefer. If you would like more information on them just send me a message. Good Luck Fishing.
