Default How to Obtain a More Accurate Count

If you ask a Crappie fisherman how many fish he caught and he says something like, “Aw, together we caught about thirty-six.” pay close attention to that little warning bell in your head!
Any self-respecting, law-abiding Crappie fisherman will always know EXACTLY how many fish he caught!
Not that I think any fisherman would intentionally lie, mind you, but if you would like to determine a more precise number, there is a simple solution - -
In my head, I simply take the number told me, divide it by three, multiply by 2.55, subtract the total of all the numbers in my mother’s social security number, then apply the formula used to determine the friction loss in a 100 foot section of ¾ inch water hose @ 65 PSI with “K” representing the inside diameter of the hose and “Q” representing the sustained volume, and this gives me a more probable and believable count!
However, if there are more than two people in the boat, this formula goes out the window!

Agree wholeheartedly! That "thump" is a fun thing, isn't it? Really gets your heart thumping too!

Fantastic price, bigfish! Best price I've heard of on one.
Bass Pro Shop carries them, but you pay a bunch for that cute little Bass Pro Shop emblem on it.
I got mine considerably cheaper in the golfing section at a local sporting goods store. It doesn't have a decorative emblem on it, but the fish don't seem to mind.

I guess that you have to care how many you caught to really keep count accurately, but I can't seem to do that. I can keep close and I can tell you how many keepers I got, but the throw back? Not so much. Saturday was a prime example fishing by my self, went out at 2:30, back home by 5:00 and chatting with lots of people fishing near me. I was able to keep an accurate count up to 12 (the first hour) and then I lost if totally as my keepers increased and the throw backs fell off some.

Gave my fish to a nice couple on the water that day and they were really happy to get them. I even gave them a couple jigs since they were not doing any good and soon she got a 11" crappie and was happy as could be. Then she was excited and some how broke her line because it got caught on the bail or something and the little RR went flying in the water. So I gave her one more, LOL!

I had a lot of fun with them before that though. Funny part was I had on what they were jumping on and after my first chat with them I ask wonder how come no one is fishing that little stretch of bank. They said don't know because they (the crappie) were there before, but now gone they guessed. Well as I moved on I said well I am going over there and catch a fish, LOL! Don't think they believed at that point, but soon thump, there he was and in the boat. Then a little farther and thump and another in the boat. It was then the lady said Okay now that is your limit (joking) and I told her okay, but they keep biting and I can't help it, LOL!

I went back and gave them the jigs which worked.

Anyway I think my mouth was over active and I lost count.

Mine counter thingy is broken. Won't go above 20. Bad need to take it back and exchange it too. Getting to be such a pain having to reset it to -0- after every 5 trips.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Exactly...but I usually have a pretty good idea of how many I have. If I start getting close to the limit, I will double check the livewell. And it really depends on whose asking me as to whether I tell them my "accurate" count...the guy that comes by throwing a 3' wake just to ask me how I'm doing can forget it...just a bunch of lil'uns.
