    Default PowerPro braid

I have seen several recommendations for PowerPro braid. Who makes/sells this brand?

Power Pro is the name brand proper, but is a registered trademark of Innovative Textiles Inc. The material ; Spectra is a registered trademark of Honeywell, who sells this to numerous line companies as their primary raw materials source. You can find this line at almost any full line tackle retailer.

Both Bass Pro and Cabelas carry this line, but Cabelas has a larger selection of weights and sizes. I usually buy the 8 lb. Hi-vis from Cabelas. Bass pro doesn't carry the small weights ( I think 10-15 is about the smallest they carry). Wal-Mart even carries some of the larger sizes but doesn't have the Hi-vis.

I like 10/2 in white and hi-vis yellow. I didn't care much for green to hard to see it.

We use the 2/10 in White and Hi-Vis Yellow also, you can find it at some Wal-Mart.

TAE73 1st introduced me to this line. I was a die hard Fireline advocate. But I have since changed my mind on that. I didn't much care for the 10/2 line because it seemed to give me more tip wrap ups than I got with Fireline which is slicker than Power Pro's braided surface. But now I have started to use Power Pro's 5/1 line. It's very smooth, very strong, and about the thickness of a human hair. Just my buck 95 on this. = )

Big bites, full baskets, and God's blessings to ya's!

P.S. The only place I have seen this for sale is at my sponsor's: Bluff City Tackle in Alton, IL www.bluffcitytackle.com

I use 15/4 hi-vis yellow and I really like it. I think it has more knott strength than fire line and doesn't wear in the sun as bad. Just my opinion.
