    Default FroggToggs

I am looking to get a new rain suit and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the FroggToggs. I just wanted to know if they would keep me dry if I fished all day in the rain?

    Default Toggs

I was looking at them at a Cabela's store nearby. They look pretty flimsy to me! Not sure how they'd hold up to much abuse, but I've never had a set, so I can't answer with first hand knowledge.

But, as far as fishing all day in the rain, I don't think any rain gear is capable of helping you out there. Sure, they'll keep the rain at bay, but it's the sweat you build up inside that's a killer. A half doz. years ago my kids bought me a very expensive "Gor-Tex" parka for fishing in the rain. After less than 2 hours, I was sweating profusely! Now adays, I just don't go fishing in the rain!

I am buying my second set and also buying one for my brother. Never sweated in one and found out this spring that the wind did not penatrate the suit. Needed less clothes and was still warm and dry.

In the heavier vinyl's, I did sweat.

I keep a suit in my boat all the time. good in the rain, and wind. Have to be a little careful about stretching cause they will rip.

I love mine and I would strongly reccomend getting the bibs. As with most all suits they tend to ride down in the back and the bibs will solve this problem. They are nothing hot like the plastic either.

I have a set, (with bibs) and I have mixed fellings about them. They will keep you dry, and you don't sweat, but they are flimsy. I would like the same results with a stronger material.
