    Post Malware Warning

    Guys...

Twice now while reading threads on Crappie.com I have
been hit with a form of Malware that falsly claims that
it has found many viruses. It is hard to shut down...but
easy to remove afterward with a malware remover that you
can find free on the net. I used Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

I hope it was just my computer but if its the forum...at least
    you have been warned.

    Good Luck !

careful if you see a update for 360 antivirus , it is a hard one to get rid of but malwarebyte's will get it . it is the best thing out there and you can d/l free. i use it with spybot/avg/windows defender/firewall and every night do a clean with, cc cleaner and once a week use defaggler.

It has popped up on me a couple of times, too. Looks authentic ... since the perp has copied all the same borders that the real products would show.

I may add Malwarebytes to my system, just to see if my other programs actually spotted it, and removed it.

I'm going to copy this thread to the Main Forum ... just to let the members know

    ... cp

I had one called XP Antivirus 2008 manifest itself on my PC a week ago, I didn't relate it to C.C, but Malware Bytes zapped it post haste.

Go to CNET and download malwarebytes. Easy to download its free. I thought I was protected and it found 3 corrupt files. The free version will also clean it up.

I've had this happen to me twice here on this website. I clicked a thread to read it but suddenly crappi.com disapepared and several other windows opened. I shut down those new webpages and for some reason am able to go back to crappie.com and follow those very same links OK.

Just as I finished reading this thread & went to click back to main page that Malware thing hit me, clicked on the X box to close but up came a screen showing it down loading U know 20-30% etc so I quickly clicked on Ctrl,Alt, & Delete at same time that stopped it dead in its tracks & also kicked me back to my home page.
