    Default Teezur Jigs

Is there any place that you can buy Teezur Jig heads. My supply is getting low,but I don't hear much about them anymore. When ever there was any type of doings around Masard Island, there was always a guy there selling them.Don't see him anymore,or maybe I go on the wrong days.

If you're talking about a few years ago, that was David Summers. He owned TeeZur and used to sell out of trailer he'd bring up to the lake. He passed away and his wife later sold TeeZur to a fella from around Paris (I think). Elliott Outdoors used to carry them, I don't know if they still do or not.

I used to go to school with Mr. Summers son. He would bring me some of the jigs him and his Dad was working on. I caught a lot of pond fish on those things. I think those were some of the first crappie jigs I ever fished with. Good times.

If you can't find the people who bought the originals you could always have one of the guys here try and make them.

I know you can still get them at Had-a-Call and at Open Season in Camden. They only carry them in limited quantities though. Last time I talked the guy at Open Season, he mentioned they may not carry as many because the guy who owns Teezur isn't making many and his prices have gone up. Heard this from a few sources.

Bought some wooly bugger jigs recently and like them a bit better.

I got 100 about a month ago, from the site Cane Pole posted. These are the best jig heads I've ever tried. It has 2 barbs to keep the tube from slipping, and the paint is quality and don't wear off easily like some.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

I drive right by the guy's house/shop twice a day on my way to and from work.
