    Default Good Times!

I had about a dozen and a half minnows left from a weekend trip. It was a beautiful day here in West Kentucky, so I took my 7 year old daughter after work. We fished off of the bank, where water drains from a small shallow lake into Lake Barkley. In one hour and a half we caught 9 and all weighed over a pound with the two biggest over two pounds. My daughter caught that weighed over two pounds, and they were the first two fish caught. She looked at me and said Good Times, very Good times!! I thought I was going to cry like a baby. I was remembering days like this with my late father and making those memories with my daughter, too bad those two couldn't done it together.

If it gets any better than that, don't tell me. Grand-daughter melts me all the time.

My son says to me. Ya know we have had a very good year thus far. can we take one trip and do nothing but bass fish. Id really like to catch one over 5lbs. So I tell him he can do whatever he wants to and Ill just throw my jig. So he is dead set on throwing a spinnerbait. And lo and behold on the third cast of the day he got his wish. When this fish boiled to the surface with that spinnerbait in his mouth, the look on my sons face was priceless. I wouldnt trade anything for the memories of fishing with my grandad, my dad and now with my son. Good times for sure.

Good stories. Nothing better than fishing memories with the kids!
