    Ryan_M,
I have not fished it lately but I did talk to some guys who did. They are catching but it is slow. I am not familiar with the lake but one of the guys told me he was catching around and old train track bed? Is there such a place?
I can't leave now; They fixen to turn on.

Yeah around the old railroad pilings,it's a good place to fish but it's always packed with fishermen.

Well, now we know why its packed. 90% of the fish are in 10% of the lake. I need to get out there pretty soon.
I'm heading out to the Black Bear Reserve in Centerville tomorrow morning. The pit I will fish is in a "No Motorized Boat" area, which means you have to paddle or use a trolling motor to fish. On top of that it is a pull-over which means you have to drag your boat about 150 feet through the woods to get to it. Not too many people want to do that or have a boat small enough. From what I understand it has some spots approaching the 20' mark. That's why its got some good slabs in it.
    Gonna find out tomorrow.

Ryan M I am from new Iberia But I work in Breaux Bridge I get lots of
reports from people I meet who know I love to fish. They all tell me
that they are catching plenty sacalait next to the pilings along the
I-10 overpass but most are small They are catching a few nicer ones
out in the main cuts in deeper water on the 6 to 8 foot drop offs but not as many as the smaller ones next to the pilings. My best experience in
fishing this area though it has been some time since I fished there
came from the drop off in the main cut near the south flats throwing a
beatle spin to the shallows and letting it fall to the deeper water about
12 to 15 feet away from the shallower water leading to the flats. Now
since I was getting reports of nice fish coming off the flats near the cypress
trees before the water levels dropped my bet is that the fish moved off
the flats and are staging in the deeper water wating for the bait to do the
    same.
