St Croix PS66ULF, its rated for 2-6 lb line and 1/32 - 3/18 jig
I need to find a good ultralite or light action rod for casting Slider grubs and Roadrunners. Right now I'm using a medium action 6'6 Berkley Lightning Rod because I fish a cork and jig alot.
Any suggestions on action, brands, lengths, reels and lines ect. would be appreciated.

How much do you want to spend? For $200-$300, you can have a very nice Loomis. On the other end of the spectrum, Bass Pro's Microlites are nice, and they go for around $40.
Shimano rods are very well-balanced and very underrated, IMO. Falcons are good, too. They tend to have a little more backbone than a lot of other UL rods. I have two very sweet Quantum rods. They also have a little more backbone than most. The newer Quantums go for around $45-$50.
OK, I just reread your post and saw the "Slider" reference. That reminded me that the Charlie Brewer Co. sells slider rods. I have the 4'9" UL -- very nice with excellent backbone. If you like longer rods, they also sell Ray Scott's Sportackle rod. The Brewer company is family-owned and are very nice people to deal with. Here's the link:

Berkley ML 6'6" little softer than the med, i use them for casting jigs and roadrunners, and like you use Med for float fishing
Can't go wrong with Wally rods.
I live for the thump!
Hey Ken, that's what I had in mind since I like the Lightning rods so well. I have some WM spinning rods that I broke through accidents of my own. If I could get them replaced I would do that.

Ozark Rods or All Star - you won't be disappointed!

Can You Find, "LIMITVILLE!!!" :D
For casting Shimano, St Croix and even some BPS rods. I'd go with a 7 footer myself.
