When fishing for crappie with minnows, what size/kind of hooks do you guys recommend? Also, do you lip hook or back hook?

When you hook them through the eye, it does not kill 'em?

Chris11,
I use #1 or #2 gold tru turn hooks. The bigger hooks don't seem to hang up in brush quite as bad as the smaller hooks and don't seem to bother the fish. I like the gold because of the flash it puts off. I like tru turn hooks because the cam action of the hook turns the point up into the roof of the fish's mouth. Very important when catching crappie. I rig my minnows on my hooks through the lips. Seems more natural that way. This is what works for me. Hope this helps. Good Luck. CF

Im assuming tightlined means with a bobber.
What do you guys feel is the advantage of this?
