    Default Cedar Creek Lake Report?

Anyone got a recent report from Cedar Creek...plan on going up this weekend for a couple days. Just wondering if they are biting better there or over at Little Bear?

Stevem, I heard that they were biting real good at Bear Creek this past week. Haven't talked to anyone who's fished Cedar Creek lately.

If you will, when you get back from your fishing, give us a report.

    Thanks

Went up to Cedar this past weekend camping and did some fishing...not much
luck on Saturday. Found some sunken tops in about 18ft of water the next
morning and caught about 30 fish, mostly in the 8 to 10 inch range...kept
enough for a fish fry that afternoon. Has anyone caught any big crappie
from Cedar? I've been fishing this lake a couple years and cant seem to
    find any big fish.

I've been crappie fishing on cedar creek as often as I can lately. I have tree tops in about 12 - 18 feet of water all over the lake. I've been catching the most crappie on the uper part of the lake near the slick rock camp grounds. The tree tops in about 13-16 feet of water usually do the best for me. My dad and I went today (7-9-05) and we caught 26 keepers. We also caught about that many that were too small. I haven't caught any big ones on cedar this year. The average size seems to be from 9-10 inches. We usually just fish over the submerged tree tops with minnows. Jigs also work, but minnows usually do better. Hope this helps,

Thanks for the report. I have not even wet a hook since spring and I can hardly wait for the fall action.
