I forgot my camera but I did OK. The doves just dont seem to be flying in Illinois where I hunt, like they did 5 years ago. Opening day was still good, i just had to go out both evening and morning to get my limit of 15. Next time I go I will bring my camera.
Husband and grandson went yesterday and came home with 14. Said the dove never really started doing anything until later yesterday afternoon.
Here in southeast Missouri we hunted one of the only cut fields in the county 40 or so hunters limited out within a hour or two best hunt Ive had in years my sons neck hurts from trying to pick out the bird he wanted to shoot.

My son and I shot 25 doves and 1 squirrel on Monday and I went tonight and shot 15 more in an hour and a half. This big cold front might push a lot of our birds out of here by the weekend.
i had a really good shoot from a pasture in Gold Hill, NC. birds flew all day,one of the best opening days ever. about 12 men in the field and everybody got their limit.
