NEW moon this weekend

Well I couldn't get out much on the full moon, but I did catch my best crappie and bass of the year, so did the wife. I have had better luck on a new moon. It seems like they bite all day better than on a full moon. There is a lunar periods calendar on ESPN, I'll try to get up here, that rates by the day. Been checking it out for a few years and it holds pretty true. I fish every day anyway so I don't plan around it, but it explains some of those "Why are they biteing so good" days. In Fisherman has a good one too.
