    Default Knats

The weather this year has been topsy turvey in Iowa. And im sure in many other states.
One diffence I notice this year is an over ubundance of gnats. I have fished at many different locations in the state a couple of hours distance from one another, but the knats are bad everywhere it seems.
What are some of the remidies you all use to combate these crazy bugs, that really work? Only thing I`ve found so far is to smoke one of my stoggies while fishing. This works but I`d rather not be a stoggie chain smoker while I fish.

If your are fishing up front, lay an over-ripe Banana in the back of the boat... All the Gnats will go to the Banana

From what I hear, everything needs to be odor free on your skin. If you are using sunblock, don't let it be scented. If you went out partying the night before and have cologne or anything else on ya like hair gel (wash it off).

Again, that is what I have heard - it seems we get gnats no matter what here. The bannana idea sounds good too.

I take the dryer sheets and rub them on my arms and face, then keep a fresh one in my shirt pocket. They are terrible where I work.......
