Default How do you store your pre-tied C & C rigs etc...

    Hi Everybody.
I just recently took up spider rigging, and when I need to replace a C & C rig -
it sometimes becomes a tangled mess. Right now I'm using the 6# Stren Gold
for my set up - stored in a small baggie.

Any advice on a less painful way for everything will be much appreciated!

Use heavier line for your rig. I use 20 lb. It want tangle in a baggie or twist up when rigged on the line in the water. MOAO.

    Default Noodle

I wrap mine around a piece of swim noodle about a foot long. I store 10 -12 on a noodle. Mix up the color/size variety a bit.

Don't buy the skinny ones, get the fat ones.

Why do you take them off? Are you jigging with a trolling rod?

    Store them on the rod.
Take the top hook and put it in the bottom eye of your rod, now take the bottom hook and hook into your handle or reel. Snug your line with the reel and then take the line that goes from the tip of the pole to double hook rig and pull out from rod and twist the rod and it will wrap up the slack and when it gets snug hook over one of the eyes. Now you can stack your rods and they won't tangle.

It costs a little more to make them, but I use a modified version that has individual parts. The duo-lock snaps allow me to change jig color/size/type whenever I want to.

I keep the parts in a 370 style box in my boat. If I have to break off either the upper or lower jig, I just replace that part. It is also quick to put the parts together if a complete new rig is required.
