Default If someone lets you over - wave

It happened at least twice today. I practically stop traffic to let someone over to be nice... the jacka$! keeps on driving like I did nothing.

It's not gonna hurt to wave

Courtesy is supposed to be a "disease". There are just some folks with natural immunities.

Waving for anything is going extinct I'm afraid

Used to be, between my house and town, everybody you met would
wave and get waved back. Didn't matter if you knew the vehicle or not,
it HAD to be one of your neighbors, or a friend/relative of theirs
But, back then you could more often than not drive all the way at night
without dimming your lights - now high beams are useless, meet one car
    after another.

Even boaters - seeing more and more peckerheads who just ignore you
when you speak to 'em... If I say hello, and KNOW they're ignoring me,
my next words are usually "well **** U too"

Yep. I dealt with real peckerheads at the lake. They all "know the law".

I like to take my old pump shotgun out on the boatdock and cock it occasionally, then walk up in the yard and shoot up in the trees. Shure nuf get some looks. I don't haveta say anything.:D

Next time you up here I will do it (if there is a crowd on the water out front). :D

Some of them think I a crazy old man. Hell, they might be right.

Nice Neighbor there slipped cork hehe. Around here we have tons of ranches and many great people. We still wave when we go by someone. Get in them big towns and for some reason they dont know how to wave. They only use one finger and stick it straight out the window. Now what kind of wave is that hehe
Soldiers and Firefighters. Some people were meant to call 911, Some were meant to BE 911

If you were my neighbor I'd be glad to let you mow as far over the line as you wanted.

The bad thing is that they were probably thinking "why is that dumb-a-- just sitting there?" because they don't have a clue about common courtesy. Never even dawned on em that you were just being nice. If you ever let me over, I promise to wave and nod in appreciation.

That can be a double edge sword my friend. Do you always acknowledge people even if you don't know them. I always wave at people that drive by my place even if I don't know them. Common courtesy doesn't hurt very much and not at all if you get accustom to showing it. My wife says that I must be the biggest busy body ever. In stores people will stop and talk to us that she doesn't know and she will ask how I know them. Some times I don't know them but they have heard about our Fish Fries and ask if they could come to the next one. I always say the more the merrier. Our last Fish Fry I didn't know 1/3 of the people there, but I do now. A true act of kindness means that you don't expect anything in return, not even a wave, not if it comes from your Heart.
