But I will be sitting in the rear seat so take that into consideration.

Long range weather forcast for my area for wed is stormy weather Wed and Thursday. I have my frogg Toggs and a new electric Filet knife that I broke in tonight as I had to clean about 15 nice crappie.

I sure hope that Tome (Cane Pole gets new batteries for his digital camera as we are going to catch so many fish that we may wear that camera out. LOL

Tom should have his lap top fired up too.

You boys have a good time and don't let Fatboy slip in on ya. Oh, that's right, he will have his hands full this week at Watts Bar taking care of Blackie...lol... Have a safe trip Moose and enjoy it...

We may be fishing POST SPAWN or catching End of the Spawn but we still should catch some fish.

I have faith in Tom and really appreciate this invite to fish with him.

I just hope my truck makes it down there and back. LOL.

I won't have to haul my boat this time so I may stick the camper shell on the back end to keep my suit case from getting wet. But some neighbor kid was skating around on my diveway where I had my camper stored and he kicked the rear window out of one of the panels.

When I haul my boat to the lake I usually jump into the back of the truck bed and then hop from there into the boat so these days I very seldom install the camper on the back of the truck. It prevents me from getting into the boat. With the camper off I can get in and out of the boat much easier. With the camper shell on I have to take my shoes and socks off and wade though the water to get into my boat from the truck when launching.

Jerry Blake (if I recall correctly) posted a slick way that he launches his boat by himself. He attaches a rope from trailer post to the boat that allows the boat to float free from trailer. He pulls the trailer forward but the rope is just long enough to keep the boat within the trailer side bunks thus keeping the boat from blowing into rocks with crosswinds. He added a small walk plank on his boat trailer to walk to and get into his boat thus being able to power his boat to a safe docking before taking the trailer off the ramp.

I had been using a rope tied to the truck bumper and bow eye that would allow the boat to float out past the trailer. But with cross winds one does not have as good of control using the rope and standing from shore.

As for your fishing challenge with Canepole I can't root for either one of you since you both sound like decent sort of fellows. You both suffer from one of the predominate and defining characteristics of crappie fishers and that is alot of BS. :D Though I can root for you both to have a safe and good time on the water.

    Thanks LBM:

I got in too late tonight to catch Cane Pole in the Chat room. Had to clean about 15 to 20 crappie and I am getting tired of cleaning fish every night. LOL Freezer is gettin full . I am going to be taking the next two days off from fishing to get ready to go to Tom's house on West Sandy at KY lake. Just hope the storms are not going to hit the lake wed afternoon or Thurday. Rain I can handle when it's warm. But thunderstorms on KY lake is a no no. I think even Tom will agree that it's not good to be on the water when there's lightening around. Tom said he would be in the chat room Tuesday so I may be able to talk with him or call him on the phone Tuesday night. Earlier this week I go the impression that he would be out of town until Wed around 1 pm when I was going to show up at his house on the lake. Just want to fish but not get shocked by lighting.

Damn weather. LOL I have not looked at the weather forcast since yesterday as I fished all day yesterday and today. Got to catch them while they are in the shallows spawning.

I am looking forward to fishing a lake that grows bigger crappie than the lake I have been fishing. We have good quanaties but the quality of fish lacks size here.
