I fish Lake Eufaula in Oklahoma but my question would apply to most lakes in this area right now.
The level has fluctuated several times this spring. It had been about 9' over normal pool before they drew it down to about 3' over. The fish had just started to spawn as shallow as 1'. A few days ago we got a lot of rain. Now it is nearly 9' over again. The gates are closed and they are not generating so the level is still going up.
With the depth still increasing I understand that they will eventually move up again to spawn. Can anybody tell how long it might be before they move up shallow again?
In the meantime are they still out where they were (now about 10-12 feet deep in 13-15 feet of water) or will a large fluctuation send them deeper for a time like a cold front will?

Thanks for any help you can offer.
