    Smile Dogwoods Blooming

Are the dogwoods blooming in your area yet. It is still too cold here in my part of Illinois for them to be blooming yet but hopefully, it won't be too long. The old timers always said you need to be on your favorite crappie hole when the dogwoods are blooming.

    Default I wish

No bloomin here in Northern IL yet. We still have some ice and snow in the shaded areas yet. But yep when the dog wood and red bud trees are bloomin the crappie and morels are usually in full swing. It just don't get any better than that. Then right behind them is the asparagus. Dang I done went and made myself hungry.
Crappie spawning and morels popping up at the same time. What was God thinking when he made that schedule. It's pure torture every spring deciding which to do.

our dogwoods here are blooming, but I guess the crappie here haven't heard the wive's tale about that, or they didn't get the memo.

A morel...basically a wild mushroom. Just don't eat the wrong ones!

Oh man Sorry about the memo. I thought it had been emailed to all the crappies. Get ready to go fishin. I will resend it today. It shouldn't be long and they should really turn on. I know the shrooms got to be up down in southern Il.

Dogwoods in full bloom in Central AR, but weather is all screwed up, too much water, it is muddy on top of that, and won't stop raining (more coming tonight)
