they all look good to me, how about the tail of the first one with the chenille of the second one, it looks like it has the same color in it
OK I have some new chenille and some new fly tying material that I want to try as tail material and would greatly appreciate any comments as to your thoughts.
Thanks,

First the new tail material and I am thinking of combining it with feathers so what do you think, add feathers or no?
Now for the chenille I have been actually looking at this for a very ling time, but thought it was too costly, but dang it looks good huh?

That may look really good since Fl Chart and Black go so good anyway. Good Idea!
I have some new stuff coming that I think is really going to be good for minnow imitations and I just hope it will cross over to jigs from flies like the first one did.
Do you think the first tail would look OK with hackle or maybe marabou would be better. The darn combinations are endless and I have not even seen the 20 colors of this new stuff coming.
Thanks,

They look great skip. How does that new tail stuff do in the water?
as full as it that stuff is it would probably do better with marabou, I have been killing tham lately in muddy water with a orange head, black body and chart (green) tail
I think it will do fine, but to be honest I just tied that this weekend and have not got it wet yet. I will soon, maybe this afternoon or tomorrow. It is really great looking stuff and some of the colors are UV.
I am not sure what this is made out of, but it seems to be kin to mylar, but thin.

I can actually make it as thick or as thin as I want. Does that change your opinion?
I have always loved black and chartreuse and am sure you have done well with that. Stained and or cloudy days I like going to the Orange, Black and FL Yellow or FL Chart too. Last year I did great with a FL Red Head (looks close to Orange to me) That Variegated black & FL Yellow Chenille with a hot Orange marabou tail. So it seems we think a lot alike on these colors.
