    Default high water effect

What effect does high water have on crappie at this time of year and where can they be caught? My home lake is 16-ft. above normal summer pool and has been for about 10-days. Water Temp average in the low 40s. I plan on trying it today for the first time and could use some help on where to start. Today the wind is 15-20 SW. Air temp 50's today with a cold front coming in this evening. Thanks for any help.

You might test out a cut out of the wind. Work the points from 10-20' deep. If there are a few creeks, take the time to see if there might be a few fish feeding in the brushy shallows. The wind at 15 - 25 mph will make a tough day of it for you. Good luck and be careful.
