Default Sabine County in State of Emergency (My County)

    FYI,

Sabine County is in a state of emergency! The flooding it really terrible just North of us. You can't get from Milam to Hemphill because Hwy 87 is under water. Yesterday they were asking people with boats to help rescue people from Brookshire Brothers (Grocery) in San Aug. You would not believe!

If you ever want to see this lake over full it's now. It came up over 2' yesterday alone.

PS and the rain is still not over!

My prayers are with all of you. My Folks live in Lufkin and my Grandmother in Zavalla. Zavalla has gotten more rain than Lufkin but you folks are getting way too much. Wish I were there to help the people. Good Luck
Soldiers and Firefighters. Some people were meant to call 911, Some were meant to BE 911

    Thank You!

I am just fine, but the people just North of me a few miles are in real trouble. Hwy under water, bridges washed out. Bad deal!

It's over right here, but I can't say that for the entire South and there are probably still some East of us like GA. that still have it too dry. However I really don't know abut them lately.

    Thanks,

I see Toledo Bend is up to 173' today. I camp in the Six Mile area. Sunday afternoon you could see the sky turn green in the North, started getting closer, so I got off of the lake. Nation Weather Service said the main cell was between Center and San Augustine, looked pretty bad from where I was. Glad you're all right.

Thanks! Yeah it kept getting closer and closer, but all we actually got at my house is about 1 1/4" of rain. However Hemphill got 15". It is still coming up and the SRA has 11 gates open 2' and both generators running 24 hours a day.

Had to move my boat to my neighbors boat house as I couldn't get my boat all the way out of the water any longer.
